I took a new pic today and when I changed my Profile Pic on FB I noticed how much my belly has grown!! So here are some pics of my belly throughout Pregnancy. I will come back and label what weeks they were later:
They have some how gotten out of the order I put them in so I will fix that when we get back from our LAST birthing class!
I am a 26 year old woman married to my best friend. I am also a new mom of a beautiful baby boy, Alexander Kelson, who I can not get enough of!
3 months after the birth of my son I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma of the Breast or "Breast Cancer."
09/2009 Discover a small lump in my breast. Disregard as me being anal and never look back.
10/2009 BFP!!!
03/2010 Realize the lump in my breast has now gotten pretty large
04/2010 Visit Doctor she sends me for an Ultrasound. Ultrasound reveals a "cystic mass." I am told I can get the mass aspirator after I give birth.
06/2010 Visit a Lactation Consultant to discuss concerns about the "cyst" interfering with Breast feeding she encourages me to go see a breast surgeon immediately. So I make an appointment for June 28, 2010.
06/28/2010 Oooops Miss my appt with the Breast Surgeon because...ALEX is born!!
09/27/2010 Finally go see Dr. Teal who decides to immediately do a biopsy of the mass. I can already sense the concern.
09/29/2010 DX with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma in the Right Breast. Cancer is at a stage 2a. Have immediate Mammogram and Ultrasound done. Both reveal suspicious Lymph Node.
09/30/2010 Stop Breastfeeding in order to receive a radioactive injection for Breast Scans. Also have a Biopsy of suspicious Lymph Node done. Surgery set.
10/12/2010 Due to family history and age we choose to have a bilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction. With nipple sparing on the left side.
10/19/2010 Drains removed!!
11/3/2010 Second surgery due to death of my nipple :-(
11/5/2010 Medi port inserted.
11/8/2010 Plastic Surgeon gives the all clear to start Chemo. Return to work after a month long Hiatus.
11/10/2010 Meet with fertility specialist to discuss options for preserving fertility. After a long heart to heart we decide to take our chances with doing nothing.
11/18/2010 Begin first half of Chemo. Adriamycin and Cytoxan biweekly with a Nulesta injection on day 2, for 8 weeks.
12/2/2010 Minor set back :-( Infection in right tissue expander immediate surgery to remove expander and hospital stay
