I am a 26 year old woman married to my best friend. I am also a new mom of a beautiful baby boy, Alexander Kelson, who I can not get enough of!
3 months after the birth of my son I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma of the Breast or "Breast Cancer."
09/2009 Discover a small lump in my breast. Disregard as me being anal and never look back.
10/2009 BFP!!!
03/2010 Realize the lump in my breast has now gotten pretty large
04/2010 Visit Doctor she sends me for an Ultrasound. Ultrasound reveals a "cystic mass." I am told I can get the mass aspirator after I give birth.
06/2010 Visit a Lactation Consultant to discuss concerns about the "cyst" interfering with Breast feeding she encourages me to go see a breast surgeon immediately. So I make an appointment for June 28, 2010.
06/28/2010 Oooops Miss my appt with the Breast Surgeon because...ALEX is born!!
09/27/2010 Finally go see Dr. Teal who decides to immediately do a biopsy of the mass. I can already sense the concern.
09/29/2010 DX with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma in the Right Breast. Cancer is at a stage 2a. Have immediate Mammogram and Ultrasound done. Both reveal suspicious Lymph Node.
09/30/2010 Stop Breastfeeding in order to receive a radioactive injection for Breast Scans. Also have a Biopsy of suspicious Lymph Node done. Surgery set.
10/12/2010 Due to family history and age we choose to have a bilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction. With nipple sparing on the left side.
10/19/2010 Drains removed!!
11/3/2010 Second surgery due to death of my nipple :-(
11/5/2010 Medi port inserted.
11/8/2010 Plastic Surgeon gives the all clear to start Chemo. Return to work after a month long Hiatus.
11/10/2010 Meet with fertility specialist to discuss options for preserving fertility. After a long heart to heart we decide to take our chances with doing nothing.
11/18/2010 Begin first half of Chemo. Adriamycin and Cytoxan biweekly with a Nulesta injection on day 2, for 8 weeks.
12/2/2010 Minor set back :-( Infection in right tissue expander immediate surgery to remove expander and hospital stay

I say wait until AF shows up before you buy a BBT. That way if you are pregnant, you would've have to go and return the BBT to get your $10 back.
Or you can just go ahead and get one and if you know the range where your temps should be post O, take your temp tomorrow and see where it is.
yeah, I'm no help.
